Membership Covenant

Having received Christ as Savior and Lord, and having been scripturally baptized and in agreement with Knights Baptist Church’s bylaws, we commit ourselves to God and to all members to do the following:

1. I will protect the unity of Knights Baptist Church

by acting in love toward all other members

(Rom.15:19; 15:5; 1 Peter 1:22)

by refusing to engage in any form of gossip (Eph. 4:29)

by following the direction of elected leaders (Heb.13:17)

2. I will share the responsibility of Knights Baptist Church

by praying for its growth (1 Thess. 1:2)

by inviting the unchurched to attend (Luke 14:23)

by warmly welcoming those who visit (Rom. 15:7)

3. I will serve the ministry of Knights Baptist Church

by discovering my gifts and talents (1 Peter 4:10)

by seeking to be equipped for the service of the Lord

(Eph. 4:11-12)

by developing a servant’s heart (Phil. 2:3-5)

4. I will support the testimony of Knights Baptist Church

by attending faithfully (Heb. 10:25)

by living in Christ-likeness (Phil. 1:27)

by giving regularly (1 Cor. 16; Lev. 27:30)

5. In this covenant with Knights Baptist Church and the body of Christ

I WILL STRIVE TO SEEK

Unity in the essentials of the faith

(Eph. 4:3, 10-16)

Liberty in the nonessentials of the faith

(2 Cor. 3:17; Gal. 5:1; Jam. 1:25)

Love in all things

(1 Cor. 2:9; 13:1-4, 8 13; 16:14; Gal. 5:13-14; 1 Joh. 4:7-11)
